With some pets, feeding a supplement can be difficult, which is less than ideal when they are already stressed out. For this reason, we've extended our popular calming range with these sneaky sprinkle capsules which can be easily mixed into food, so they won’t know unless you tell them!
SettleMe™ Calming Sprinkle Capsules offer a unique blend of ingredients thought to aid in settling overactive or anxious minds, and helping pets to cope during situations that create feelings of stress and anxiety, and distressing behaviours associated with this. SettleMe™ can be used to support pets in many areas they often struggle, for example:
Vet, cattery/kennel or groomer visits
Fireworks, thunderstorms and noise phobias
Parties and visitors
Travel
Introducing a new pet or family member
Separation anxiety
Capsules can either be fed whole or opened and mixed in with food. Can either be given in one sitting or split between meals.
Give the recommended dose 1 to 2 hours before the expected stressful event is going to occur. For prolonged stressors, such as firework season, we recommend using daily for 5 to 7 days before the expected season and throughout, for as long as the stressor occurs.

GAVE MAX CAPS. DURING EVENING, HE SLEPT UNTIL 4.30HRS AND THEN NUDGED ME AWAKE. [I am sleeping on sofa with Max in sittingroom, otherwise he barks all night!] GAVE HIM A LITTLE FOOD, OUT TO GARDEN, BACK TO BED UNTIL 6.00HRS, REPEAT ABOVE. GIVE UP AND GET DRESSED. NEXT DAY, REPEAT!
Have to hide capsule inside a bit of sausage or cheese otherwise he spits it out.
Very expensive !

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding SettleMe™ Calming Support Capsules for Cats & Dogs, including answers from our team.
Charlie
My dog was attacked by a greyhound and has become reactive at big dogs and strangers would these help him to be less reactive. We use distraction and treats but some dogs no amount of treats can stop him barking and getting very anxious.
A calming supplement is a great idea for mild/moderate anxieties or fears. SettleMe given 1 to 2 hours before the intended effect is required works well. Spray/diffuser calmers like Pet Remedy and Adaptil can be used alongside or instead of oral calmers.
It is always best to seek a behaviourist to try and resolve the underlying cause of the fear. Calmers are great alongside behaviour training but if used alone then they tend to cover the signs of the fear rather than resolving it. They also may have little effect on a severe anxiety/fear.

My dog has started to destroy our house when we go out. The neighbour rang me the other day to say he hasn’t stopped moving around and knocking things over all morning. I think it separation anxiety will this help with this?
Yes, calmers like this can help with separation anxiety. I recommend reading our blog on Separation Anxiety for more information and tips.

Can these been given on a long term basis alongside “renew me”? After having great success with my previous spaniel on the renew me capsules, I have started my other spaniel on them as she just seems to be starting with dementia. She’s also very anxious and getting worse as she gets older. Can these be given long term alongside the others?
Yes, SettleMe Calming Support can be used safely in the long term. It is important to treat the cause of the anxiety though, is there a trigger to this that can be excluded from your dog's life? Calming supplements work well but they tend to cover the signs and the anxiety can continue to worsen underneath.
Both these supplements share some ingredients however they are very safe ingredients (e.g. Vitamin B). The slightly higher dose caused by giving both is very unlikely to cause any issues and is still within safe limits.

My frenchie has become very snappy when I try to clean her face folds.
Would these help to calm her in this situation?
If this is related to a fear or anxiety then it is worth trying a calming supplement like this. For mild anxieties/fears it can be sufficient. If this is moderate or severe though then you may not see the issue completely clear. It is always advised to carry out behavioural training to clear the underlying issue alongside use of a calmer, as they tend to just cover the issue rather than resolve it. The fear may be worsening each time the incident occurs without behavioural therapy.

My 2 year old cat has always been very sensitive to noise and we are very quiet people.
We now have a noisy, boisterous 3 year old Ukrainian boy staying with us and she is petrified. We don't know how long he will be with us, maybe permanently.
I am using Beaphar CatComfort plug in and Zylkene 75mg daily which has helped calm her a bit and stopped her leaving home altogether.
I wondered if 'SettleMe' might be useful as it has different ingredients.
Can I mix them???
It is advised to only use 1 type of oral calmer and 1 type of spray/diffuser together. SettleMe and Zylkene share similar ingredients and so using both may overdose in some of these.
It seems you are using the maximum amount of calming supplements you can. It is worth making sure your cat has a calm environment as much as possible too. Make sure she can eat, drink, toilet, sleep and play in her own 'safe' areas that the stressful stimuli (ie the 3 year old) cannot go. These areas need to be reachable without crossing stressful areas where the stress triggger may be, such as corridors, and they ideally should take into account your cat's current favourite places. Are calm me tablets any good for a dog with dementia? He paces and doesn't settle.
A calming tablet like this can help some of the signs of aging relating brain disorders like dementia by providing a calming effect. However it is best to use supplements aimed at cognitive dysfunction, the name for diseases like dementia in dogs. Our own brand RenewMe Vitality & Cognitive Support is a good choice.

He is on a grain free diet and has Happy Tummy added to help with his colitis. Can I give him Settle me as well mixed in with his food?
Thank you
Penny Ollard
This depends on what has set off your dog's colitis. If there is a food trigger than please check the ingredients of SettleMe to ensure the trigger ingredient is not included. Otherwise there should be no reason not to use SettleMe.

I use the Settle Me chews for my dog at night. The dose is one chew. Can I use these sprinkle tablets as well as giving the chew please? I noticed they have similar ingredients and don't want to get the dosing wrong. Many thanks
The capsules and chews of SettleMe are very similar, we advise using one or the other really. If you need an extra calming effect then you can use a spray/diffuser alongside this. Adaptil or Pet Remedy are good options.

Will SettleMeTM help with barking. Our 2 yr old rescue Jack Russell is very reactive to noises and barks at the drop of a hat we hope to have a calmer dog but don’t want him to be drowsy and sleep more than usual.
It would be useful to know how the tablets work
SettleMe Capsules provide a mild calming effect. This is great for mild anxieties/fears but it depends on the trigger of your dog's problems. I advise reading our blog on firework phobias if he is reactive to noises, a link to this is provided here.
