I was looking for a broad spectrum joint supplement and found this one. I don't know how effective it is. But hopefully it will provide some protection for her joints.

So far so good. Its a job to say if it works as I am using it as a preventative on my 10 year old mare.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Equine America Kentucky Liquid Joint Supplement for Horses, including answers from our team.
Samantha Hadingham
Hi there,
I'm currently comparing your two products, the kentucky liquid and the glucosamine plus powder. The ingredients seem very similar. What is the difference? This is to help my horse with arthritic hocks.
Many thanks :)
It is very difficult to choose between different joint supplements and the differences between them are not often clear, let alone what effect those differences will make. The total amount of glucosamine the horse receives can be different, depending on the amount of each product you give. This might have an effect, but even that is not certain. Usually it is a matter of trying a supplement and seeing how things go. If it works well then stay with it, if results seems disappointing, it can be worth trying something else.

Hi there, my TB darcy is 22 years young and over the last few months I have been adding Kentucky to his diet to help with his stiffness and overnight restlessness in the stable. I maintained the lower dose to begin with but there was not much improvement, so I then increased to the higher dose. This has made a definite difference to his general comfort overnight and he is much quicker to loosen up when working. As the Kentucky contains brome line , which is the pain reliving ingredient in the buteless , I am wondering if it would be more effective to be giving darcy the buteless instead. I'm seeking some advice before making any changes that may be detremental to Darcy's comfort, and also to my pocket. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.....melissa4913
It would be great to be able to predict what effect such a change would have, but I do not think that is possible. Your horse could be responding to any or all of the ingredients in the current supplement. The results might be better or worse if you change things. Personally I would advise staying with the Kentucky product because it is likely that the range of ingredients are helping.
